Grands Cafés Forest
Grands Cafés Forest
Sustainability, environmental awareness, waste reduction, and corporate social responsibility
are no longer just buzzwords for the hospitality sector. As a hospitality group, we recognize that in 2024,
these principles are an integral part of our operations.
Every day, we strive for energy-efficient operations, less waste, reduced plastic use,
better sorting, and increased recycling. The number of different waste containers behind our kitchen continues to grow
as we maximize our sorting efforts. Local and seasonal products are given priority to keep the food supply chain
as short as possible. When purchasing new equipment and machines, we focus on energy- and water-saving labels.
But we want to go even further and make an extra contribution.
As part of the European Green Deal (= Europe CO2 neutral by 2050 and the planting of 3 billion additional trees by 2030),
we have decided to plant a Grands Cafés Forest right here in Belgium.
In collaboration with Goforest and Klimaat@mb(r)assadeur Koen Meuwissen,
the Grands Cafés group will plant 1,000 trees annually over a five-year period.
More specifically, in the village of Grune in the province of Luxembourg
(https://impact.gofamily.be/en/partners/grands-cafs-groep).
In the long run, this initiative will remove 875 tons of CO2 from the air!
We can even exceed that goal… with the help of our customers.
Isn’t that wonderful? Will you join us?
For just €6.99, we will plant your tree in our forest, in real life,
on a real piece of land in Belgium.
On this page, you can register for your very own Grands Cafés tree or trees.
Do it now and sign up. Together, let’s work towards a greener and better world!
YES, I’M IN!
